1. Identity and scope
These terms apply to services supplied directly by Rebel Breath Club, also trading as The Breath Club, KvK 98592270, Aletta Jacobslaan 88, 2314 GB Leiden, the Netherlands. They apply when you book by email, message or another direct arrangement and are provided before the agreement is concluded.
2. Venue bookings
If DankjeWellness, The Calm Company or another venue sells or collects payment for a session, its checkout, payment and cancellation terms apply to that transaction. The Breath Club remains responsible for delivering its facilitation with reasonable professional care. If terms conflict, the party responsible for the relevant part of the service determines the applicable rule.
3. Booking and payment
A booking becomes binding when it is confirmed by The Breath Club or the selling venue. Direct payments may be made by bank transfer, Tikkie or cash as agreed. Prices and any additional costs must be communicated before booking. Payment is due at the agreed time; a place may be released if payment is not received.
4. Participation
Participants must be at least 18. You agree to provide accurate information relevant to safe participation, follow reasonable safety instructions, respect other participants and the venue, and not attend under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
You remain free to slow down, return to normal breathing or stop at any time. The facilitator may adapt or end participation where reasonably necessary for safety or group wellbeing.
5. Health and suitability
Breathwork is an educational and wellbeing practice, not medical or psychological diagnosis or treatment. You are responsible for seeking advice from a qualified healthcare professional if you have concerns about pregnancy, cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory or psychiatric conditions, medication, recent surgery, injury or trauma. Participation may be declined or modified where safety information is incomplete or concerns cannot reasonably be resolved.
6. Optional elements
Some sessions may separately offer sauna, cold exposure, cacao, blue lotus or optional microdosing truffles. Participation is never required. Additional screening, venue rules and explicit informed consent may apply. A participant must not use an optional substance without understanding its contents, source, potential effects, medication interactions and applicable provider terms.
7. Changes by The Breath Club
A session may be changed, postponed or cancelled because of illness, venue issues, safety, insufficient attendance or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Where The Breath Club took direct payment, you will normally be offered a replacement date or refund for the cancelled service. Reasonable changes to facilitator, schedule or format do not create a right to compensation beyond the amount paid.
8. Liability
The Breath Club will exercise reasonable care and does not exclude liability where exclusion is prohibited by law. To the extent legally permitted, it is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or withheld participant information, failure to follow safety instructions, ordinary risks that were clearly explained and voluntarily accepted, or services and products independently supplied by a venue or third party. Nothing in these terms removes your mandatory consumer rights.
9. Conduct, belongings and recordings
Respectful conduct and confidentiality within group sessions are expected. Participants may not photograph or record others without their prior permission. The Breath Club may occasionally arrange photography or filming, announced in advance and governed by separate, voluntary consent. Declining photography does not affect your right to participate. You remain responsible for personal belongings unless loss is caused by The Breath Club’s failure to take reasonable care.
10. Complaints and law
Please send complaints promptly to rommert@thebreathclub.co so a practical solution can be sought. These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any dispute may be brought before the competent Dutch court, without limiting consumer rights to use another competent forum under mandatory law.
