Participation & Consent

By confirming a booking and participating, I confirm that I am at least 18 and that I have read the session description, relevant Support Guide, Terms and Cancellation Policy. I have had the opportunity to ask questions and will provide complete and accurate information relevant to my safe participation.

• I will disclose relevant health conditions, pregnancy, medication, recent surgery, injury and significant mental-health or trauma concerns.
• If unsure about suitability, I will obtain advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
• I understand that breathwork is not medical or psychological treatment.
• I will not attend under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

I understand that altered breathing may cause temporary tingling, warmth, lightheadedness, muscle tightening or cramping, changes in body perception, fatigue, emotional responses or a sense of unreality. Sauna and cold exposure can place additional stress on circulation, temperature regulation and breathing. These experiences are not guaranteed and I will report anything that feels unsafe.

• I may slow down, return to normal breathing, open my eyes, change position, decline touch or stop at any time.
• I will follow reasonable instructions concerning breathing, sauna, ice baths, movement and group safety.
• I will not push through chest pain, fainting, severe breathlessness, confusion, seizure activity or other warning signs.
• I understand that the facilitator may modify or stop my participation for safety.

Any supportive touch should be explained and requires consent; consent can be withdrawn at any moment. If I become unable to respond and urgent help appears necessary, I authorise reasonable first-aid steps and contact with emergency services. This does not replace professional medical care.

These elements are optional and require separate information and an affirmative choice. If I choose to participate, I confirm that I have disclosed medication, allergies, pregnancy and relevant physical or mental-health history; have received information about the specific substance and provider; and understand that effects and interactions differ between people.

I will not combine an offered substance with alcohol, recreational drugs or undisclosed medication. I understand I can participate in the breathwork session without taking it. Venue/provider-specific screening and consent may also apply.

I understand that photography or filming may sometimes take place and will be announced in advance. Participation alone is not consent to promotional use of an identifiable image of me.

I will be offered a separate choice to agree or decline. I may object before or during the session without disadvantage, and I may withdraw consent for future use by contacting rommert@thebreathclub.co. If I object, I will follow any practical instructions intended to create a camera-free area, and The Breath Club will take reasonable steps not to publish identifiable footage of me.

I explicitly consent to relevant health information being used only to assess suitability, adapt the session, respond to an incident and meet related legal obligations, as described in the Privacy Policy. I understand that I may withdraw privacy consent, subject to information that must be retained by law or for legal claims. My acceptance of clearly explained ordinary risks does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
